Booking Terms & Conditions

1. PAYMENT

1.1 To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit of £100.00 is required. We therefore encourage you to carefully consider your booking prior to committing as deposits are non-refundable.

1.2 Full payment of a booking is required 6 weeks prior to the date of arrival. If full payment has not been received 6 weeks prior to your arrival date, your booking will be cancelled and the deposit forfeit.

1.3 For bookings made 6 weeks or less prior to the date of arrival, immediate payment of the total booking is required. 

1.4 On receipt of payment, you will receive a Booking Confirmation email and a contract of hire between us established (hereafter you are referred to as ‘the Hirer’).

2. CANCELLATION BY THE HIRER

2.1 If a booking is cancelled 6 weeks or more prior to arrival, the £100.00 non-refundable deposit (paid at the time of booking) will not be returned, and a refund of any remaining balance given. 

2.2 If a booking is cancelled 6 weeks or less prior to arrival, the full booking amount will be retained and no refund will be due, unless Wash Farm Holidays are able to re-let, in which case only the £100.00 deposit will be forfeit.

2.3 The balance of a booking cannot be reduced within 6 weeks of the arrival date and refunds are not offered for early departure.

2.4 We appreciate that unexpected events occur, however, we cannot offer refunds on bookings that are cancelled even if due to ill health, serious family matters, work commitments, travel issues or bad weather, see Clauses 2.1 and 2.2. However, we will endeavor to accommodate a transfer to an alternative date. Please note, such changes will incur an administration fee of £30.00 and changes within 6 weeks of your arrival date may incur additional cancellation charges and are subject to alternative date availabilities.

2.5 Cancellations and transfer requests must be made in writing to info@washfarmholidays.com or by calling 01953 888607.

2.6 It is strongly recommended that you have adequate personal and holiday cancellation insurance to cover you and all members of your party. This should be suitable for UK self-catering holidays arranged independently of a travel agent and should include cancellation protection cover to safeguard you against loss of the cost of your holiday in the event of unexpected cancellation. Under no circumstances will Wash Farm Holidays be responsible for loss of life, personal injury, medical expenses, accidents, damage to the Hirers property, personal effects or motor vehicle(s) and you should ensure that any insurance covers such eventualities.

3. CANCELLATION BY WASH FARM HOLIDAYS

3.1 You and all members of your party agree (and understand that failure to agree will result in your booking being cancelled, in which case Wash Farm Holidays will have no legal or financial responsibility to you): 

a. to keep the property clean and tidy; 

b. to leave the property in a similar condition as you found it when you arrived; 

c. to behave in a way at all times while at the property which does not break any law; 

d. not to use the property for any illegal or commercial purpose; 

e. not to sublet the property or any part thereof or otherwise allow anyone to stay in it who Wash Farm Holidays have not previously accepted as a member of your party; 

f. not to behave in an anti-social manner, breach the peace or otherwise act in a way which may disrupt or affect the enjoyment of others; 

3.2 Should the property suddenly become unavailable for the dates booked due to unforeseen circumstances, all efforts will be made to offer suitable alternatives. If this is not possible, then all monies paid by you, the Hirer, will be refunded in full with no deductions, and Wash Farm Holidays will incur no further liability of any kind. Under no circumstances will Wash Farm Holidays be liable to refund any amount exceeding the amount paid by the Hirer.

4. OCCUPANCY

4.1 The maximum occupancy of each property is as follows, and must not be exceeded under any circumstances:

5. PETS

5.1 Up to two well behaved small to medium sized dogs are welcome in Cedar Barn and The Farmhouse at no additional charge. We ask that dogs are not allowed upstairs and never left unattended. Please note that dog owners are responsible for the cost of any damage or excessive cleaning charges. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times bearing in mind that livestock in the adjoining paddocks and also to comply with the countryside code.

6. DURING YOUR STAY

6.1 Your booking includes use of the property from 16:00 on the day of arrival as specified in your Booking Confirmation until 10:00 on the specified day of departure. Your hire includes all bed linen & towels, heating, all gas/oil, electricity and water. The use of the indoor heated swimming pool, as available.

6.2 Complimentary WiFi is provided. Wash Farm Holidays reserve the right to suspend or cease WiFi service for improper use or for any technical or commercial reason without explanation, liability or cost. Use of WiFi is entirely at users’ risk and you should ensure that any equipment used to connect to the internet is protected by suitable anti-virus and firewall software.

6.3 For the comfort of all guests, smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted anywhere inside our properties.

6.4 We aim to ensure all our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. If you have any concerns or queries during your stay please inform us so we may have the opportunity to rectify any issues or answer any questions. 6.5 The properties at Wash Farm Holidays are offered for the sole purpose of holiday lettings. Accordingly the Hirer agrees and accepts that you are not offered any rights to the property other than the right to occupy the accommodation as holiday accommodation for the period of your booking, a fixed term of not more than one month. No booking of any kind is an ‘Assured Shorthold Tenancy’ or protected under the Protection from Eviction Act 1977. 

7. VARIATION IN PRICE

7.1 Wash Farm Holidays reserve the right to vary prices without prior notice, however the price of your stay is guaranteed once a Booking Confirmation has been issued.

8. LIABILITY

8.1 Wash Farm Holidays accept no liability whatsoever for any Loss, Damage, Injury or Accident to the Hirer or any member of the Hirer’s party or property whilst in occupation of the property or its grounds howsoever caused.

9. DAMAGE

9.1 A charge will be made for repairs, replacements, losses or damages to the property or its contents (fair wear and tear accepted). If there are any breakages, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make any necessary replacements for the benefit of subsequent guests. Additional charge may apply to cover any additional costs of cleaning if the property is left dirty or if vacated later than 10.00 am on the day of departure.

10. WEBSITE & LITERATURE DIFFERENCES OR OMISSIONS

10.1 Our website and literature are intended as a guide to the properties and facilities only. Wash Farm Holidays reserve the right to make changes to the facilities provided or to the properties without prior notice. We regret we cannot accept any liability for errors mistakes or omissions which may arise from any differences between the properties, or the facilities provided and our website or literature.

11. PRIVACY POLICY IN BRIEF

11.1 We will NOT sell your data to third parties. We will ONLY send you relevant information. You can easily unsubscribe at any time.
