Our housekeeping rules ensure Granary Barn is ready to welcome guests

Housekeeping Rules

Our high cleaning standards ensure that our guests can relax in complete comfort. However, it wouldn’t be possible to maintain these high standards if our Housekeeping Rules aren’t respected, so we appreciate your co-operation and respect for others staying after you in regards to the following:

  • Please remove outdoor shoes inside the property.

  • Please report any damage/ breakages/ spillages immediately so that we can assess the damage and take action where necessary. This is especially important regarding spillages to upholstery and bedding.

  • Please refrain from wearing make up or freshly applied tanning products/ hair dye to bed as these may cause staining to the bed linen and additional cleaning or replacement charges will apply in the event that bed linen or towels are damaged in this way.

  • We welcome families with young children but please be aware that your children are your responsibility at all times both in terms of their safety in and around the property and damage to the property, furnishings or themselves.

  • We ask that muddy paws are washed before entering The Farmhouse or Cedar Barn (Granary Barn is not dog-friendly). Dogs are not permitted on the upholstery or upstairs and are not to be left unattended. Please note that dog owners are responsible for the cost of any damage or excessive cleaning charges incurred. Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times bearing in mind livestock in the adjoining paddocks and dog waste picked up and disposed of in the bin provided.

  • Please use the bins in the kitchen labelled for recycling and general waste. Full bins can be deposited in the wheelie bins in front of the white gate. The green bin is for general waste and the black bin is for recycling. Please empty the bins in the kitchen prior to check out and do not leave full bin bags anywhere else on the property or grounds.

  • Please leave the property as it was when you arrived. Please ensure crockery and cutlery are clean and replaced in drawers and cupboards. Additional cleaning charges will be incurred if our cleaners are unable to carry out changeover cleaning in the standard allotted time if the property is left in a poor state.

  • The swimming pool is open daily between 9am-7pm and is for private use by guests across our 3 properties; The FarmhouseCedar Barn and Granary Barn. Please be mindful of other guests and limit your swim sessions to 1 hour.

  • Please shower before entering the pool and always keep children under the constant supervision of a capable adult. We ask that no food or drink is consumed in the pool building, and guests refrain from smoking and vaping.
